Today Wembley will host the first semi - final between the teams of Arsenal and Chelsea.
Both teams played CL gams in midweek, both secured place in the semis of that tournament, so now the concentration will be entirely on the FA Cup game.
Earlier this season the 2 teams met at Stamford Bridge and Gunners won 2:1.But then Chelsea was under the unglorious reign of Scolari. Now Hiddink shows thah he has found the right 'recepee' for the Blues from London.Yes, the Dutch took the team with the main aim to lift the CL trophy, but I'm sure he won't refuse FA Cup glory, we should not forget it's the oldest tournament...
Gunners are in great shape at the moment. In the recent months the team forgot the meaning of the word loss. But I think that's about to change as Wenger has serious troubles in defence, that are becoming bigger after every game.Defenders Clichy, Sagna, Gallas and Djourou are all definitly out, while the young Gibbs is doubtful. In addition Almunia is still sidelined too.For the match today Eduardo is back in the squad for Arsenal.
Chelsea has no fresh injury worries before the game today - Deco, Ferreira and Joe Cole are still out of the squad.
The strange fact is that Chelsea defence is performing really bad in the last weeks - in the last 3 games played team conceded 8 goals, but in the other end the team looks great, as in the last 3 games scored 11 times.
Looking at the missing players in Arsenal I think the only way the team has chance to get something will be with attacking football, but inevitably they will have problems at back.Yes in midweek Gunners cept clean sheet against Villareal, but Chelsea has nothing in common with the troubled spanish team.
I bet on Over 2.5 goals.
